Politkovskaya Murdered
This is appalling. It almost doesn't matter who carried it out, or who gave the order.
Although it would be infinitely more hideous if it turns out that this murder was committed on state orders.
Another attempt to make some kind of sense of what's going on east of the Dniester. Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan come in for special attention.
